TSSF Study & Prayer Events in 2018
As always, applications are particularly welcome from those who have not attended one of these events previously, or who are returning for only a second time.
Freeland Study & Prayer Weekend: Friday 27 to Sunday 29 April 2018
Theme: What if St Francis had known about Haiku?
Leader: Br Kevin SSF
Br Kevin will be exploring Haiku as a spiritual path/discipline and including meditation prayer and an openness to nature and the present moment.
Old Parsonage guest house of the Community of St Clare, Freeland, Oxfordshire: arrivals late afternoon Friday, departures after lunch on Sunday. Inclusive cost £120.
Participants are not particularly expected to prepare in advance, but the knowledge, wisdom and experience they bring will contribute significantly to the success of the weekend. Applications are particularly welcome from those who have not attended one of these events previously, or who are returning for only a second time.
Many Tertiaries clearly share our excitement at having a First Order Brother leading our weekend for the first time, and there has been a lot of interest shown already, but places may still be available.

Hilfield – October Study & Prayer: Monday 1 to Friday 5 October 2018
Theme: Francis for the 21st Century
The Friary, Hilfield, Dorchester, Dorset: arrivals late afternoon Monday, departures after breakfast on Friday. Inclusive cost £185.
The October Study & Prayer event brings together contributions from *most of the participants, each leading a session on his or her chosen topic relating to the theme. These reflections on Francis for the 21st Century will be enriched by celebrating Francistide with the Hilfield Community.
*Postulants, Novices and those attending a Study & Prayer event for the first time are not normally required to make a presentation, though they may wish to do so. The size of the group at Hilfield almost certainly precludes there being sufficient time for everyone to lead a session. An additional possibility is that if two Tertiaries are coming together, they might work together on a topic and share a session.
For more information and/or to apply for a place, please email email@example.com putting ‘Hilfield 2018’ in the subject line.
These events should be listed in the TSSF Events calendar
The TSSF Papers page lists many papers written by Tertiaries for the regular Study & Prayer weeks and weekends.
